DEFENSE PHILOSOPHY

With 25 years of criminal defense experience, I know that in the end, results are what matter most.  That is why I strive to meet every case with a client-centered, results-driven approach.  My philosophy is grounded in the strong belief that hard work and preparation are key to successful advocacy and many cases come down to which side is better prepared.  In every case, I strive to deliver "smart, effective advice & advocacy."

About Julie M. Reamy

Following admission to the Maryland Bar in December 2001, Ms. Reamy was selected as the 2001/2002 term law clerk to the Honorable Judge David B. Mitchell, Ret., in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.  Ms. Reamy  worked in government service from 2002 until early 2006, when she entered private practice.

Ms. Reamy has been licensed to practice law in Maryland since 2001 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Reamy is the 2026 recipient of the John Adams Award given by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland's Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel in recognition of her extraordinary service in providing legal representation to the indigent.   Named for John Adams and his widely criticized defense of British soldiers charged in the Boston Massacre, the award underscores the enduring importance of defending the right to a fair trial, the presumption of innocence, and equal treatment under the law.

Ms. Reamy has represented thousands of criminal defendants with great success throughout her legal career and developed a reputation among peers, judges, and clients as a relentless and respected defense advocate.  She has appeared in virtually every county in the State and routinely represents clients in Maryland's district and circuit courts, the State appellate courts, and in federal district and appellate courts.
